Help build confidence even with the way that they look. Have them be proud and embrace the way they are. Because they have the disease they are unique and strong. We want to continue helping them find solutions so they can continue to have a normal life and continue their daily life without being judged or feeling comfortable. Why was hope made? For those who don't know sometimes the patients with TED can go out through the day because the sun can be too bright or they are in so much pain that they just can't focus on driving so instead they will stay home. That is one of the main reasons of why they can miss out on going to the gatherings that is in there community. Therefore, we created Hope with the goal being that they don't feel left out and are connected to other TED patients.
We are non-profit unlike other organization, where you have to pay to be a member. Here we want to priorize TED patients which is why we made a website that is only for TED patients. Unlike others we developed the webpage a certain way because we know that with bright colors being uses it can hurt the patients eyes ad make it hard for them to use a webiste. We made sure to use colors that are more on the darker side. We put a section where people can donate. We understand and are well aware that not everyone is financial stable and maybe can't aford to pay the medical bills and or pay for treatment.
